Argentine guitarist Leopoldo Delorenzi performs this arrangement of Carlos Gardel's "De Una Cabeza."

Carlos Gardel (1890-1935), together with lyricist and long-time collaborator Alfredo Le Pera, wrote several classic tangos. Gardel is largely responsible for bringing tango to the world from it's Argentine roots.

His continuing stardom in music and film was cut short when he and Le Pera were killed in a private plane crash in Colombia in 1935.

"Por Una Cabeza" ("By a Head," as in horse racing) has been featured in a number of films and television shows, including a version with a violin solo by Itzhak Perlman.
