Dominican pianist Michel Camilo performs the jazz standard "Blue Bossa" with percussive accompaniment.

"Blue Bossa" was composed by Kenny Dorham in 1963, and was likely influenced by Dorham's trip to the Rio de Janeiro Jazz Festival in 1961.

"Blue Bossa" is often used as an introduction to jazz; simple enough to play for a relative beginner but complex enough to challenge the improviser. In this clip Michel Camilo demonstrates that it is not just for beginners, but worthy of the talents of this amazing pianist.
